Market Recap
Let's start with Timmins because, honestly, it's too good not to share.
Yesterday we had a table at the Mountjoy Farmers' Market, and I'm going to be real with you: it did not go exactly according to plan. I was already running behind before the market even started — and then, at 8:45am (fifteen minutes before doors opened), I realized I had completely forgotten to bring a table. So off I went to Home Depot. To buy a table. With fifteen minutes to spare.
Then there was the wind.
It was just me yesterday, and let me tell you, I had not thought once about how I would display jewellery in outdoor weather conditions. The wind had a lot of opinions about our setup. Noted for next time.
But here's the thing — I actually loved it. The Timmins market has someone playing live saxophone, which is genuinely beautiful, and every single vendor there was so kind and lovely to be around. It was a great experience. It just also taught us that our brand might not be the right fit for that particular outdoor market — at least not until I figure out how to protect a display against the elements. We might pop back in later this summer if we can get organised for outdoors, but we'll see.
To everyone who stopped by our table yesterday — thank you. It was so lovely to meet new faces and see some familiar ones too. It genuinely meant a lot. 🤍
Now, the Big News!
Cori applied to the KDCDC Kidz in Biz program — and she got in.
We are so unbelievably proud of her. This is a huge deal, and here's what it means for Amber & Co.:
Starting June 28th, we will have a table at Gail's Market in Matheson almost every Sunday through the end of August. The market runs from 11am to 3pm, and we will be there — with a real setup, real pieces, and a lot of summer energy.

But it gets better. KDCDC is covering the cost of our table, and Cori is going to receive hands-on marketing training as part of the program. This is such an incredible opportunity for her to grow Amber & Co. in her own way, on her own terms, and develop real skills as she goes.
(She doesn't always want to listen to her older bossy sister, so honestly, this is probably better for everyone. 😅)
We have a lot planned for our table at Gail's this summer. You are not going to want to miss us.
